Meta Gala had many wondering where the influencers were this year after seeing a multitude of celebrities, with new reports coming in claiming they were not banned.
In a viral TikTok video, one user named Danny Rayes claimed that that “Influencers are banned from the Met Gala,” and that “the days of influencers attending these events are over.” He continues on to say that “allegedly multiple A-list celebrities were complaining about influencers being at this event.”

Rayes claimed that several A-list talent threatened not to attend if indeed some of the online viral stars were invited to the celebrity event.

Allegedly in response, the Met Gala “decided to totally ban every single influencer, with the exception of [YouTuber] Emma Chamberlin.”
The clip generated nearly 6.3 million views, but the TikToker did not address where his sources came from.
Many sources close to publications like PEOPLE went out to say that no rule was ever made.
TikTok turned out to be a lead sponsor of of the corresponding Metropolitan Museum of Art Exhibit, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” according to a news release.
In the past, many saw the likes of Addison Rae, James Charles, Lily Singh and more, but none were in attendance, leading many to speculate.
Yet, many did notice the likes of those like TikTok influencer Reece Feldman who posed on the Met steps and then joined press to conduct interviews on the sidelines.

Many also noticed that Emma Chamberlain conducted interviews for Vogue one again and French influencer and YouTuber Léna Mahfouf was pictured walking the carpet.

Some also saw how TikToker Hayley Kalil attended the event, who has also been seen at other major award shows.
Before attending fashion’s biggest night on Monday, the social media personality posted a video commemorating her elaborate gown and headdress designed by Marc Bower.
However, according to viewers, Kalil committed an epic faux pas when she chose to soundtrack the video to the viral sound from Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, in which the late queen proclaims the oft-debated quote, “Let them eat cake!”
Some thought the sound was in poor taste for the event seeing the quote is seen as emblematic of tone-deaf aristocrats and bourgeoisie class.
“Girl read the room,” one viewer wrote, while another added: “The sound choice that you’re using is wild. We are truly living in a dystopian world.”
The star shared several viral videos and photos of herself dressed up at the nearby Mark hotel, the location at which most stars get ready at and depart for the Met Gala.
TikTok influencer Tefi Pessoa also provided red carpet coverage of this year’s Met and even briefly interviewed Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
Notable newcomers to the event included the likes of Shakira, Pamela Anderson, and even Jeff Goldblum.
