Over the weekend the viral pug Noodle, known for forecasting the day on if he woke up with bones or no bones, has sadly passed. Noodle’s owner Jonathan Graziano posted on his TikTok on Saturday announcing the somber news. Noodle was 14 years old.
@jongraz It has been the privilege of my life to care for Noodle these past 7 years. The sweetest man there has ever been and will ever be. ❤️
“He was at home, he was in my arms, and this is incredibly sad,” said Graziano. “…It’s a day that I always knew was coming but never thought would arrive, and although this is very sad I wanted to let you know and I wanted to encourage you to celebrate him while we’re navigating this sadness.”
Noodle went viral last year as a sort of “mystical groundhog yet a dog” figure, fortune telling everyone’s days. Graziano would film picking up the geriatric pug; if the dog stood on his legs he had bones but if he flopped right back on his bed, he had “no bones”.
@jongraz the Bones have spoken!! #pug #adoptdontshop #nobones #noodletok #mondaymotivation
If it was a “no bones day”? It would be a rough one that necessitated extra self care and patience. But a “bones day”? It was gonna be a good and productive day for all. The wholesome content was a much needed distraction and motivater for fans on “Noodle Watch”. Graziano and Noodle achieved over 4.5 million followers on their TikTok. Graziano even published a book inspired by the viral videos called “Noodle and the No Bones Day”.
The news of Noodle’s passing trended on Twitter. Fans of the pug tweeted their reactions and condolences for Graziano and the tough time.

The worst part about forming a parasocial relationship with an animal on the Internet is that animals eventually leave us and so I find myself on a rainy Saturday morning being sad about an old pug named Noodle and his Bones days ????????????

“He lived 14 and a half years, which is about as long as you can hope a dog can, and he made millions of people happy,” Graziano said. “What a run. Thank you for loving him, thank you for embracing us, and give your dog a cheese ball tonight. But it has to be the fake stuff.”
