What started as a swipe at SZA’s former manager turned into a digital brawl between two of music’s most influential voices.

On Tuesday, July 15, Nicki Minaj took to X to call out Terrence “Punch” Henderson, president of Top Dawg Entertainment and SZA’s ex-manager, accusing him of years-long online harassment.

“Yall remember that man from tde who kept bullying me on Twitter for no reason? We have the receipts. lol. I never even responded to him,” Minaj posted. “Ima call him ‘Minus 30 million’ from now on. #JusticeForDemoree.”

An hour later, SZA dropped what appeared to be a cryptic response:

“Mercury retrograde .. don’t take the bait lol silly goose.”

Minaj wasn’t buying the “coincidence” and fired back hard:

“Go draw your freckles back on bookie #JusticeForDemoree #DepositionPerez Liar liar pants on fire. Sounding like a fkng dead dog.”

She followed that with another jab:

“Looking & sounding like she got stung by a f—ing bee.”

SZA responded swiftly and directly:

“I don’t give a f–– bout none of that weird s— you popping.”

Then she got personal, addressing both the harassment and her current tour success:

“I get bullied by millions online every day then step my ass out onna packed stadium tour where ppl show me REAL love. IN REAL LIFE. My parents are healthy and I’m the most successful I ever been. GET SOME F—ING PERSPECTIVE n BARK AT THE WALL !!!”

The Grammy-winning “Scorsese Baby Daddy” singer, currently performing with Kendrick Lamar in Paris, appeared to de-escalate—at least momentarily:

Minaj, however, wasn’t done:

“SZA if every song you’ve ever done vanished right now the music business wouldn’t even miss you. I’ve been to countries that never heard of you.”

She continued, shading SZA’s SOS Deluxe: Lana and questioning her authenticity as an artist:

“Like what in the insecure lack of morals & integrity you doing? I thought she was like a real artist? Girl bye.”

Then, in one of the feud’s more shocking moments, Minaj amplified an old screenshot—allegedly of past SZA tweets criticizing female artists she later collaborated with.

Fans were left reeling, some defending SZA’s growth, others backing Minaj’s bluntness, and many just stunned by the speed of escalation. Tweets from both camps began trending under #JusticeForDemoree and #BarbzVsSZA within hours.

This isn’t new territory for Minaj. The rapper has had highly publicized feuds with Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and Mariah Carey.
