Millie Bobby Brown and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, have quietly welcomed a new member to their family. Brown, 21, and Bongiovi, 23, announced via Instagram on August 21 that they “welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption.
“We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”

The announcement confirms what has been publicly anticipated since the actress discussed her dreams of motherhood earlier this year. On the SmartLess podcast, Brown reflected on her upbringing, saying, “My mom actually had her first child at 21 and my dad was 19 … it’s been my thing since before I met Jake. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me. And my nan, my grandmother… she was a huge part of my life.” She added, “Jake knows how important it is to me … but, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer.
Brown also revealed that Bongiovi had a stipulation—waiting until they were married. “Jake was like, ‘We cannot do that until we get married,’” she said. “I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So, it is definitely in our future.” She further noted her openness to adoption, stating, “For me, I don’t see having your own child … as really any different than adopting.”
The couple’s journey began in 2021, and after an engagement in April 2023, they tied the knot in a private ceremony in May 2024.
As Brown prepares for the final season of Stranger Things, her role as Eleven continues to define her career. The fifth and concluding season is slated to roll out in three installments over the holiday season: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve.
