The singer Kesha, legally known as Kesha Rose Sebert, filed a lawsuit against Dr. Luke in October 2014, alleging infliction of emotional distress, sex-based crimes, and employment discrimination.
The legal battle intensified when Dr. Luke retaliated with a defamation lawsuit against Kesha and her mother, Rosemary Patricia Sebert. In response, Kesha counter-claimed that Dr. Luke had subjected her to sexual, physical, verbal, and emotional abuse during their professional relationship.
