White, best known for his Emmy-winning role on FX’s The Bear, performs Springsteen’s vocals himself in the film. The trailer features his rendition of “Born to Run” and scenes capturing Springsteen’s creative isolation during the recording process.

“Don’t need to be perfect. I want it to feel like I’m in the room by myself,” White’s Springsteen says in one moment. Jeremy Strong (Succession) plays Jon Landau, Springsteen’s longtime manager and producer.

Cooper adapted the script from Warren Zanes’ 2023 biography of the same name. The project also involves Springsteen and Landau as collaborators. Dave Cobb, a Grammy-winning producer who has previously worked with Springsteen, contributed to the film’s music.

Deliver Me From Nowhere debuted footage earlier this year at CinemaCon, where White called the opportunity “a dream come true.” “We all had Bruce’s blessing on this film,” he added.

Fans were also shocked and impressed to learn that the voice singing in the trailer actually is Jeremy White himself.

The biopic arrives during a busy stretch for White, who has seen a surge in both critical and commercial attention following his portrayal of chef Carmy Berzatto in The Bear. Season 3 of the series premieres June 27, with new episodes expected to pick up directly after last season’s finale.

Beyond television, White has drawn praise for his recent performances and industry recognition, including a prominent Calvin Klein campaign and increasing demand in film.

Nebraska, often cited as one of Springsteen’s most introspective and stripped-down records, marked a notable departure from the sound of his earlier work. Recorded on a four-track cassette recorder, the album focused on themes of isolation, disillusionment, and the American landscape. The film aims to capture that creative process and the personal toll it came with.
