YouTube superstar David Dobrik has responded to Jeff Wittek’s public displeasure with him, saying that “The Jeff Thing Is The F**kin’ Worst.”
Dobrik is known for being one of YouTube’s OG vloggers, amassing over 18-million subscribers, with an added 17 million followers on Instagram and Twitter alone.
In June of 2020, Debrik along with the Vlog Squad put an excavator in a lake, with Dobrik sitting in the driver’s seat, spinning his friends around on the crane attached to a rope.
Things quickly went south after Wittek took his turn, spinning around at great speeds and causing him to collide with the excavator, permanently damaging his left eye.
In a video uploaded on March 8th to Dobrik’s podcast channel, “Views,” the YouTuber went on to say that “The Jeff thing is the f**kin’ worst,” referring to the crane incident.
“I wish it was me up there…It’s the most unfortunate thing ever, and it’s an accident. That’s what it was. I want to make that clear. There’s never a world where I want to have that happen to a person. I was never up there, driving the thing, wanting to hurt someone,” Dobrik stated.

In addition, Dobrik also claimed that he felt like he was “taking 150% of the responsibility” for the accident, exposing text messages showing Wittek allegedly requesting he do the stunt.
“People thought I really sent him up there just so he can swing off this thing. That is not the case. …it was a combined decision we made, and it was a complete accident. I’m so f**king sorry it happened, but there’s no going back from that.”
Wittek has not responded to Dobrik’s apology at the time of publishing.
