A Debut Album Met With Applause

Addison Rae’s transition from TikTok creator to full-fledged pop artist has been closely watched, and now applauded. Her debut album Addison, released June 6, includes tracks like “Diet Pepsi,” “Aquamarine,” “Headphones On,” and “Fame Is a Gun.” It quickly climbed the charts, debuting at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.

Critics have noted the album’s pure pop sensibility and cohesive sound. Rae’s musical debut follows years of online speculation about her potential as an artist, especially after teasing music projects in 2021 and 2022.

Embracing Simplicity: Just “Addison”

The tour and album titles reflect Rae’s decision to drop her last name professionally.

“Whoever knows me as Addison Rae will always know me as that,” Rae explained on YouTube series Feeding Starving Celebrities. “But I just would rather sign ‘Addison.’ It just makes more sense, it’s going back to the roots, really.”

The streamlined moniker signals a fresh chapter for Rae, one that places her identity as an artist front and center.
