Danielle Bregoli, better known by her stage name Bhad Bhabie, is facing a new legal challenge. American Express has filed a lawsuit against the 22-year-old rapper for allegedly failing to pay off a significant credit card balance.
According to court documents filed July 2 in Los Angeles County Superior Court and obtained by People, American Express is suing Bregoli for $674,452.40. The company claims that she breached the terms of a credit agreement by not making the required payments.
Details of the Lawsuit
The filing outlines that American Express extended credit to Bregoli under an account ending in 5000. The agreement, dated April 21, 2021, required Bregoli to either pay off her full balance each month or make consistent monthly payments. The company alleges she ceased payments around December 19, 2024.
“Plaintiff extended credit to Defendant for purchases and/or cash advances by Defendants and/or persons acting with Defendants’ permission,” the complaint states. It continues, “Defendant promised to repay Plaintiff for all charges, fees, and interest on the Account.”
American Express is seeking full repayment of the outstanding balance, citing breach of contract.
As of now, representatives for both Bregoli and American Express have not commented on the lawsuit.
OnlyFans Earnings Draw Contrast
The lawsuit surfaces just days after Bregoli spoke with Interview Magazine about her financial success on OnlyFans. She called the subscription-based platform “a good way to make a lot of money really fast.”

Bregoli, who joined OnlyFans in April 2021, previously claimed to have earned over $71 million in gross revenue from the site. A screenshot she shared in July 2024 reportedly showed she had netted $57 million after fees. Complex reported that $32 million of that amount came from direct messages, with an additional $24 million from subscriptions and roughly $500,000 in tips.
The staggering earnings have led fans online to question how a credit card bill of $674,000 could go unpaid given her reported financial success.
Fan Reactions
News of the lawsuit sparked mixed reactions across social media platforms. Some users expressed shock over the unpaid debt, while others questioned the timing of the lawsuit given Bregoli’s public claims of wealth.

Still, others defended the rapper, suggesting that financial teams or managers could have been responsible for missing payments. “People love to assume celebs do everything themselves. Could be a team issue,” one commenter noted.
What’s Next?
It remains unclear how Bregoli plans to respond to the lawsuit or whether she intends to settle the alleged debt. Given the high-profile nature of the case and Bregoli’s celebrity status, the dispute is likely to remain in the public eye.
Until then, fans and followers will be watching closely to see how the situation unfolds—and whether Bhad Bhabie will have anything to say publicly.
